Account Health Rating (AHR)

Also known as: AHR

Account Health Rating (AHR) is Amazon's consolidated account-level health score reflecting unresolved policy and performance problems across a seller account. AHR at risk or deactivated status can restrict selling even when individual metrics look acceptable. Sellers improve AHR by resolving open violations, appealing enforcements, and clearing defect backlog.

Why it matters

AHR rolls up multiple violation types into one dashboard status, so sellers may face restrictions while still meeting individual metric targets. At-risk AHR often precedes harder enforcements if open cases linger. Clearing AHR requires closing each underlying defect, not only improving percentages on paper. Appeals tied to AHR should document resolved cases and show preventive controls that keep the score stable after reinstatement. Check the Account Health dashboard weekly until every open violation shows resolved or appealed status.

Example

A seller shows green Order Defect Rate but AHR is at risk because three policy violations remain open. They appeal each violation, upload proof of fixes, and monitor the Account Health dashboard until status returns to healthy. Each closed case is referenced by date in the final status update.
